ticket terms & conditions

1. who you're buying from
techella is an event produced by BMAC Ventures Pty Ltd (ABN 74 698 082 058). when you buy a ticket you're entering an agreement with us. these terms apply to every ticket sold through techellafest.com.
2. the event
techella 2026 is on thursday 5 november 2026 at uts underground, sydney. it's a daytime, alcohol-free event. the programme — speakers, workshops, activations — may change; we'll always do our best to deliver an event of equal or greater value, but the specific line-up isn't guaranteed by your ticket.
3. your ticket
your ticket is emailed to you with a unique qr code + order code. it admits one person for the day (or the number of tickets you bought). bring it on your phone or printed. each qr admits one entry — once it's scanned in, it can't be used again, so don't share it.
tickets are sold per tier (early bird, first/second/final release, vip). vip perks (priority entry, front-row seating, priority q&a, first pick of workshops, vip swag bag) apply to vip ticket-holders only.
4. refunds
tickets are non-refundable for change of mind — but they're fully transferable, so if you can't make it you can give your ticket to someone else at no cost (see the next section).
this doesn't limit your rights under the australian consumer law. if we cancel the event, or it can't go ahead and isn't rescheduled, you're entitled to a refund of the ticket price.

5. transferring your ticket
can't make it? you can transfer your ticket to someone else at any time before the event — just email hello@techellafest.com with the new attendee's name + email and we'll reissue it. there's no fee to transfer.
6. if something goes wrong (force majeure)
if the event has to be postponed or cancelled for reasons beyond our reasonable control — extreme weather, a public-health direction, venue loss, or similar — we'll either move your ticket to the rescheduled date or, if it can't be rescheduled, refund you in line with the australian consumer law. we're not liable for related costs like travel or accommodation, so book those with that in mind.
7. photos + filming
techella is photographed and filmed for promotion. by attending, you understand you may appear in photos or video we use across our website, socials, and marketing. if you'd prefer not to be featured, let a team member know on the day and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
8. conduct
techella is built to be a safe, welcoming room for everyone. we may refuse entry or ask anyone to leave (without refund) for harassing, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour. be the person you'd want next to you in the group chat.
9. privacy
we collect your name + email to issue your ticket and contact you about the event. we don't sell your data. see our privacy policy for the full detail.
10. changes to these terms
we may update these terms before the event; the version on this page at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to you. questions? hello@techellafest.com.
