what we collect

• email address — so we can tell you when tickets go live and send you event updates
• city — so we know which cities to prioritise
• travel willingness (anywhere / interstate / local) — same reason
• marketing opt-in — yes/no on whether you want broader marketing emails (not just event-essential updates). you can change your mind any time
• if you email sponsors@techellafest.com or another techella address, we keep the email so we can reply

what we don't collect

we don't use third-party trackers, analytics cookies, or advertising pixels on this site. no facebook pixel. no google analytics. nothing follows you around the internet.

where it lives

waitlist signups are stored in vercel postgres (a managed neon database, hosted in sydney). emails sent to @techellafest.com addresses are forwarded to brooke's inbox via cloudflare.

we use resend to send transactional + marketing emails. resend processes your email address to deliver mail and is gdpr/ccpa compliant.

how we use it

event-essential updates (city, date, lineup, tickets-on-sale) get sent to everyone on the waitlist. these are not marketing — they're the reason you signed up.

marketing emails (newsletters, podcast launches, wright mode promos) only get sent if you opted in. if you didn't opt in, we won't send them.

we never sell or share your data with third parties. sponsors don't get the waitlist.

opting out / deleting your data

every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. if you want us to delete your record entirely (waitlist + email history), email hello@techellafest.com and we'll process it within 14 days under the privacy act 1988 (australia).

changes to this policy

we'll update this page if we change anything material and email the waitlist to flag it.
